About this comic
Children of Astra is a 341-page sci-fi middle grade graphic novel intended to be a standalone work, but has the potential to be expanded into a trilogy if it becomes successful. It tells the story of 12-year-old Amy Lightbloom, the last survivor of a human colony in the far future, as well as her fight to survive against the Space Pirates who are intent on finishing the job they started several years prior. The comic is intended to be appropriate for all ages.
Since my previous attempt to pitch just the first 112 pages to literary agents didn’t work out, I have decided to use this site to showcase all 341 pages instead! Both to demonstrate my skills to any prospective art clients, as well as to pitch the story to any small press publishers who may be interested in picking it up. If that doesn’t pan out, however, I will officially self-publish this book. Wish me luck!
